Point-of-care ultrasonografie (POCUS) is een nieuwe technologie die snel aan populariteit wint in verschillende medische disciplines door het vermogen om directe en efficiënte diagnostiek aan het bed van de patiënt te bieden. In het Erasmus MC past dr. Nick Wlazlo, internist-hematoloog, deze technologie toe om de snelheid en precisie van medische beslissingen te verbeteren. Zijn werk met POCUS helpt niet alleen om snellere diagnoses te stellen, maar ook om de behandelingsprocessen binnen de hematologie te optimaliseren.
