Op 17 juni 2022 promoveerde dr. Lisa van Manen aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam op haar proefschrift ‘Effectiviteit van rodebloedceltransfusie bij de ernstig zieke patiënt’, onder begeleiding van promotor prof. dr. Nicole P. Juffermans (Intensive Care, Amsterdam UMC) en copromotor dr. Robin van Bruggen (Red Blood Cell Research, Sanquin). De belangrijkste bevindingen van haar proefschrift worden hier besproken.
