Op 7 november 2023 promoveerde dr. Carolien Duetz aan het Amsterdam UMC, locatie VUmc, op haar proefschrift getiteld ‘Refining the diagnosis and treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes’ onder begeleiding van promotor prof. dr. A.A. van de Loosdrecht (afdeling Hematologie, Amsterdam UMC) en copromotor dr. ing. T.M. Westers (afdeling Hematologie, Amsterdam UMC). De belangrijkste bevindingen van haar proefschrift worden hier besproken.
