Op 5 juni 2024 promoveerde dr. Annemieke van der Padt-Pruijsten aan de Erasmus Universiteit in Rotterdam op haar proefschrift getiteld ‘A hospital-based Palliative Care Pathway for patients with advanced cancer – Bridging the gap between science and practice’ onder begeleiding van promotoren prof. dr. C. van der Rijt (afdeling Medische Oncologie, Erasmus MC) en prof. dr. A. van der Heide (afdeling Maatschappelijke Gezondheidzorg, Erasmus MC) en copromotor drs. M.B.L. Leys (afdeling Interne Geneeskunde, Oncologie/Hematologie, Maasstad Ziekenhuis). Naast de belangrijkste bevindingen van haar proefschrift wordt ook de integratie van palliatieve zorg in de hematologische zorg hier besproken.
