In Nederland heeft centralisatie van kinderoncologische zorg plaatsgevonden in het Prinses Máxima Centrum. Het in 2018 nieuw geopende centrum bood de mogelijkheid het medicatieproces geheel opnieuw in te richten voor alle kinderen met kanker. In dit artikel worden de hierin gemaakte keuzes besproken en wordt stilgestaan bij enkele voordelen voor de geneesmiddelenzorg die de centralisatie voor ons centrum heeft gebracht.
